5 Minutes With . . . Artist And Painter Bree Merryn

Having recently been appointed as the exclusive brand extension partner for artist and painter Bree Merryn, The Point.1888 is currently looking to partner with long term, high quality manufacturers across a range of categories for all retail channels – to include giftware, ceramics, stationery and textiles – to complement Bree’s cushions and greeting cards, as well as her framed prints, mini canvases and box canvas prints.

What’s your background Bree, and what inspires you?

“Having studied for many years as a figurative artist I have a flair for capturing the character and details of my subjects which are animals. All the animals I paint have their own name and personality, ranging from farm animals to wildlife and landscapes.”

How do you feel about licensing your brand?

“This is a very exciting new phase of my brand development and I’m really looking to forward to seeing my artwork on a wide range of new, high quality product ranges.”

On a normal work day, where are we most likely to find you?

“I work from my studio overlooking the Yorkshire Dales and can often be found on the surrounding moors photographing the animals that inspire my paintings.”
