What inspired you to open W A Green last year?

“Two things. Firstly, retail has always been a big part of my life, so not being able to find a gift for a friend in West London, along with my travels in LA, made me think that I wanted to open my own shop.”

Why the name W A Green?

“I named the shop after my grandfather, a successful green grocer who had a chain of shops.”

How would you describe the store’s concept?

“It’s a maximalist lifestyle outlet that’s full of fun and character, putting independent designers alongside powerhouse brands.”

What links the products?

“The common thread is happiness. I want customers come in and change the way that they look at their home.”

What’s your own home like?

“It’s a Victorian terrace house and very, very colourful!”
