Groovy Chick Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary

With Groovy Chick celebrating its 30thanniversary this year, DRi Licensing is bringing the brand back to retail, tapping into the trend for nostalgia. Current licencees include the Personalised Memento Company (PMC), whose best selling gift lines include stationery, diaries, wall art, money boxes, mugs and chocolate.

Created in the ‘90s by design studio Bang on the Door, Groovy Chick has recently enjoyed outstanding success with Misirli’s sock launch in Primark earlier this year, with the socks selling out within weeks. A second range of socks will be going into Primark this summer.

YouTube’s Zoella has expressed her love for Groovy Chick with the Misirli socks appearing on her Primark Summer Haul vlog which has so far achieved over 1.5 million views.

In addition, the latest Groovy Chick T-shirt launch on online retailer TruffleShuffle was a huge hit on social media, and with the press, with orders flying out, confirms DRi.

Recent signings include Moonpig and TPD Textiles.
