Major Personalised Gifting Company Acquired By The Photobox Group

The acquisition of Dutch online company Greetz will see the Photobox Group – whose brands include Moonpig, the UK’s leader in cards, gifts and flowers  – become Europe’s market leader, not just in online greeting cards but also in personal gifting.

As Holland’s number one brand in personal gifting and greeting cards, Greetz sold almost £1m gifts last year, with popular categories including online flowers, chocolates, balloons and beverages. Growing at 25% year on year, the business is on course to double its 2015 revenues in 2018.

“Much like Moonpig in the UK, Greetz is a loved, household brand, offering customers a highly emotive, personal and convenient way to share special moments and occasions together,” said Jody Ford, ceo of the Photobox Group.

Greetz, the market leader for online greeting cards in Holland, was founded in 2001, with over 7.5 million cards sold in the Netherlands in 2017.

In addition to Moonpig, the Photobox Group also owns Photobox, Spanish company Hofmann and PosterXXL, which are all leaders in photo-personalised gifting.
