DRi Shows Its Wild Side

Among the latest brands from DRi Licensing is Barbarian, created by American designer Barbra Ignatiev. “When people look at my art, I want them to feel propelled to take on life with a vengeance, a sense of humour, and a better sense of who they are,” says Barbra who is known for being wild at heart, with a rebel spirit!

DRi Licensing highlights that the large portfolio of bold, playful patterns offers enormous opportunity to partners, lending itself to a wide range of products.

Currently, the brand is extensively licensed in the US across multiple categories including gifting, bags and accessories, stationery, tableware and fabrics.  Demonstrating the brand’s global appeal, Barbra has also collaborated with Anthropologie for ceramic tableware, stationery and accessories featuring colourful floral prints.

DRi Licensing’s Alicia Davenport comments: “There’s a strong mix and match pattern-driven trend into which Barbarian plays perfectly.  We’re thrilled to be taking on this beautiful brand and blown away by the colour, freshness and strength of the graphics.”

Barbara’s distinctive watercolours combine bright bursts of colour with muted neutrals and blacks, as well as featuring an eclectic range of unique, contemporary patterns ranging from lush and tropical florals and feathers, to bohemian and tribal prints.
