Ticket To Ride The Santa Express

With gift retailers looking to place their orders early for Christmas 2019, Widdop and Co’s Santa Express showroom is now open until the company’s pre-order deadline of March 22.

Visitors will be invited to board the life-sized Santa Express, which made its debut at Spring Fair earlier this month – a 21-foot locomotive – as well as to peek inside the engine carriage to see the crackling fire. The train is accompanied by a life-sized train station filled with 1200 exclusive products encompassing seven themes.

Complete with real steam and sound effects, the Santa Express’ appearance at Spring Fair naturally attracted the attention of hundreds of passers-by.

“We had people knocking on it and stroking it in disbelief,” recalls head of independent and export sales Dan Illingworth. “It became a huge talking point, with people coming from all over the NEC to have a look at it. The number of people asking if they could buy one for themselves was incredible!”
