To tie-in with the organisation’s 30th milestone year, walkers will be challenged to tackle a 30 mile ‘amble’ in West Yorkshire on June 20, with the route taking in Otley, Bramhope, Harewood House, Farnley and Almscliffe Crag.

The minimum personal sponsorship requirement is £300, with the charity walk open to everyone working in the gift and card industry, as well as their colleagues, friends and family. For more details and a registration form, contact Kerry Barrett at Cardgains e: kerry@bridewelluk.co.uk

Celebrating Cardgains 30th anniversary at Spring Fair earlier this month, managing director Chris Dyson told GiftsandHome.net: “Cardgains started out being all about greeting cards, but now we cover everything that can be sold in a card and gift shop. We’re there for independent retailers, and now, more than ever, there has never been a stronger time to be part of the buying group.”

New gift companies that have joined the organisation in the past year include Portmeirion Group, Sass & Belle, Heart of the Country, Pubstops and the Brandwell Group.
