Sustainability was the overriding thread at last week’s STYLE Bangkok – the largest lifestyle trade show in South East Asia – with the theme of show shining a spotlight on ‘crenovation’ – creativity, innovation and Thai origins.
With Thailand well known for its natural resources, GiftsandHome.net spotted clocks created from elephant poo paper; personal care products made from Thai rice varieties; air fresheners manufactured from charcoal extracted from the branches of the dipterocarpus alatus tree, and bags and jewellery made from dry leaves and water hyacinth.
Among the stand out, sustainable products were:

STYLE Bangkok, organised by the Department for International Trade Promotion (DITP), was launched in 2017, a merging of three individual, international shows covering gift and homewares/housewares (BIG&BIH); fashion (BIFF&BIL) and furniture (BIFF).
