Wedgwood Garden Scoops Three Awards

The Wedgwood Garden at RHS Chatsworth Flower Show, which ended yesterday, was awarded three highly coveted accolades with an inaugural show garden by emerging designer and RHS ambassador Jamie Butterworth. The winning design scooped an RHS Gold Medal, Best in Show and the Best Construction Award.

Building on the success of the Silver Gilt winning garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the second show garden of the 2019 season continued to mark the 260th anniversary of Wedgwood. Jamie’s design was inspired by RHS founder John Wedgwood’s vision of using the power of horticulture and plants to unite and connect communities.

Christian Bachler, Wedgwood’s senior vice president, said: “It is an honour to receive three esteemed awards in our 260th anniversary year. This accolade is particularly significant as Jamie’s garden celebrated the legacy of John Wedgwood, the founder of the RHS.”

Jamie drew his inspiration from John Wedgwood’s personal garden and handpickedmany of the plants from his original plant journal, to include sweet peas, roses, herbs and fruit trees.
