Launching The Fab Four

Next month’s re-edited Autumn Fair will be launching Design First and Design Collective – encompassing four special product showcases across Gift, Living, Fashion and Play & Tech – featuring quirky companies that are first time exhibitors at the show. Each of the showcases will focus on brands that strive to break new ground.

With cross-buying opportunities in the Living and Accents & Décor sector, (part of DesignFirst) – there will be a special emphasis on giftable homewares within the Gift showcase. Exhibitors include Humblewood which will be launching a collection of Scandinavian, Shaker and Japanese-inspired homeware collections, as well as Live Cornall Design, which will be featuring natured-inspired wood furnishings, and Earthy Petals which supports Indian artisans.

Also in DesignFirst (Fashion sector), there will be an emphasis on handcrafted items, with Welsh-heritage accessories designers Pretty Little Props and clay jewellery makers No Shrinking Violet part of the showcase.

Meanwhile, in ToyFirst, exhibitors include Lello which specialises in designs that come from Australia and New Zealand. Also showcasing product will be film and TV inspired games and puzzles maker, Rachel Lowe.

“The First initiative was such a positive fixture both at Autumn Fair 2018 and this year’s Spring Fair that we had to bring the sector back for 2019,” states Autumn Fair’s event director Jessica Dawnay. “By bringing together these brands we’re making it easier than ever for visitors to get to know the up-and-coming suppliers before they’ve truly made it.”

Autumn Fair takes place from September 1-4 at the NEC, Birmingham. Visit www.autumnfair.com
