Best And Worst Department Stores Revealed

According to the latest research from UK online marketplace OnBuy.com, which used Trustpilot to analyse customer satisfaction at 11 main department stores in Britain, the best department store to visit this Christmas is Fenwick.

The store achieved 3.5 out of 5 ‘trust’ score from UK shoppers, making it the favoured retailer. Fenwick also achieved the lowest percentage of ‘bad’ reviews at 30%.

In second place was Fortnum and Mason, with the London-based retailer clocking in at 2.8 out of 5 making it the runner up. In third place was TK Maxx which achieved a 2.5 out of 5 from UK shoppers.

On the flip side, according to British consumers, House of Fraser is the UK’s worst department store, with the chain achieving 1.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot’s trust score, and 86% of reviews classifying it as ‘bad’.

Selfridges received a similarly disappointing 1.7 trust score, with 80% of its reviews ‘bad’, while contemporary luxury department store Flannels came in as Britain’s third worst, with a 1.7 trust score and 76% ‘bad’ reviews reflecting views on the business.
