Two More Shows Postpone Dates

Ahead of Boris Johnson’s eagerly awaited ‘roadmap’ announcement on Monday (February 22), a further two show organisers have taken the decision to put their show dates back to later in the year.

Ocean Media Group, organisers of the London Stationery Show 2021, have confirmed that the show will be held from 5-6 October.

“We’re very grateful for the support of the industry and are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Business Design Centre in October when we can finally meet and do business once again,” said event director Alex Butler.

Currently, the team are working on a new venture – Stationery365 – which will be launching in the Spring. The online directory will be showcasing new products and collections, connecting suppliers with stationery and gift buyers all year round.

Also re-scheduling is housewares and tableware event the Exclusively Show 2021, due to take place in June, which has been moved to 24-25 August 2021 at the Business Design Centre. “We consulted with our exhibitors and visitors and there is a genuine desire for the show to go ahead, but at the right time and in the right place,” explained Will Jones, chief operating officer of BHETA and chair of Exclusively. “There was strong support for a move to August.”

As Will pointed out: “Moving the date provides an opportunity for the industry to gain more confidence as the vaccination programme gathers momentum, and the timing fits with the Autumn buying season. The speed of the vaccine roll-out has given us genuine belief that by August the UK will be back to some form of normality.”

Trend Displays, Trend Talks and The Brand Showcase, aimed at media visitors, will remain features at the August show.
