Ambiente Working Inspired By WFH

After being cancelled for the second consecutive year,  Ambiente will co-locate with two other Messe Frankfurt consumer goods trade fairs, Christmasworld and Creativeworld, with the trio of shows taking place from February 3-7, 2023, under the umbrella of ‘Home of Consumer Goods’.

The office product segments will be showcased in a new  sector, Ambiente Working, to complement Living, Giving and Dining, with Ambiente supplemented by a new, regionally based Design & Lifestyle offer, held in Frankfurt, in the second half of the year.

“We are moving with the times, because new work and lifestyle trends are growing together,” says Yvonne Engelmann, director, Living, Giving, Working. “The boundaries between home and office are fluid and this is leading to a major change in the stationery sector in terms of manufacturers’ product portfolios, changed sales channels and target groups that we can serve better in the new context.”

Home of Consumer Goods will also include a Global Sourcing section, with all three trade fairs merging into a joint offering. Global Sourcing will also be presented as a sourcing platform in international locations at other times of the year, creating additional markets and sales channels for buyers who have not previously sourced globally. To complement this, Messe Frankfurt is planning to respond to supply and demand disruptions and transport bottlenecks in logistics chains with a series of sourcing events in selected sourcing countries, with easy access for buyers.

Explaining the shake up and re-design, Detlef Braun, member of the executive board of Messe Frankfurt, explains: “Messe Frankfurt is providing answers to the current changes and challenges, redefining the marketplaces of tomorrow. By establishing innovative formats at the location and internationally, we can create growth opportunities, provide orientation and security in volatile times, and actively help shape a global industry in transition.”

In the meantime, Messe Frankfurt’s digital platforms – Nextrade and Conzoom Solutions – are continuing to provide buying opportunities for retailers.
