The Search Is On To Find The UK’s Favourite Business

As Small Business Saturday kicks off tomorrow (3 December), fintech company Miconex is launching a campaign to find the UK’s favourite local business this Christmas, with gift retailers in the running.

“Local businesses are the backbone of Britain and we’d like to celebrate them this festive season,” says Miconex’s managing director Colin Munro.  “Local businesses of all types and sizes are what make our towns and cities unique and vibrant. These are the businesses that are going above and beyond to provide quality products and experiences and good service each and every day.”

Highlights Colin: “Our August 2022 survey, across 1500 consumers, employees and organisations, found that support for local is at an all-time high, with 90% of consumers saying they’re keen to support local this Christmas. In the current economic climate, local businesses need our support as much as ever. Nominating a favourite local business is one way people can show their support for local and help to keep their local area thriving.”

One hundred and fifty Town & Gift card and Downtown Gift card programmes running across the UK, Ireland and North America. Each card can be used with a range of local businesses in a particular town, city or region, including retail, hospitality, leisure and attractions, diverting spend from online retailers to UK high streets.
