Blenheim Palace’s Gift Shop Gets A Starring Role On Channel 4’s Christmas At . . . Programme

Christmas At Blenheim Place, which aired on Channel 4 last week, (8 December), credited the gift shop at the stately home as being “one of Blenheim’s most important money spinners.” Last year, the retail team generated a third of Blenheim’s revenue over the all important festive season.

This year, Blenheim’s theme is a Snow Queen extravaganza – preparations started in January – with the retail team setting out to maximum profits with memorabilia exclusive to Blenheim.

At the time of filming, it was confirmed that after so many months of preparation, Snow Queen products were selling brilliantly in the gift shop, along with Christmas baubles, which were flying off the shelves in their thousands. “I think this is going to be one of our best Christmases ever,” a member of the team stated.

Each year, Blenheim attracts some 900,000 visitors, with a third arriving for the festive season alone.

The 12th Duke of Marlborough and his family are currently in residence.
