Best Of Times (Square)

As birthday gifts go, seeing his name in lights in one of New York’s major visitor attractions – Times Square – was a huge, unexpected surprise for Widdop’s ceo Stephen Illingworth, who was in America with his family earlier this month to celebrate his milestone 40th birthday.

“It was a complete surprise,” Stephen told GiftsandHome.net. “I love New York, and was in Times Square with my wife Tara, five-year-old twin sons, plus family and friends, when all of a sudden I was astonished to see myself smiling down from the billboard in family photos, with the message ‘Happy Birthday Stephen, To Be Celebrated Today And Always’. It was on every hour for a 24 hour period and it was certainly a very special, unforgettable birthday gift!”

In fact, 2023 has been a stand-out year for Stephen, who together with his brother Dan Illingworth, recently completed an MBO to acquire Widdop and Co in a milestone year in which the company is celebrating its 140th anniversary.
