A highlight in The Giftware Association’s calendar this year will be the first ever Women In Gifts event which will be taking place at the GA’s HQ in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter on Wednesday December 6. “The event is shaping up to be outstanding, with a fabulous group of women already registered to attend,” The GA’s ceo Sarah Ward told GiftsandHome.net.
“It’s a celebration of the incredible women in the gift industry,” continues Sarah, who is one of three keynote speakers on the day, alongside Wrendale Designs’ founder and design director Hannah Dale and Sara Miller, founder of her eponymous company Sara Miller London.
Clare Harris, founder of Talking Tables, will be heading up a high energy panel which includes Sarah, Ami Rabheru from Retail Huddle and Sue Marks, editor of Progressive Gifts & Home/GiftsandHome.net. There will also be a cameo appearance from ‘Dragon’ Sara Davies MBE, founder of Crafter’s Companion, a surprise mystery guest in the afternoon, plus activities and workshops.
“We have included an option for the day to extend into the evening for those who would like to stay to join us for dinner, where we have Retail Huddle’s Ami Rabheru hosting a conversational game. We are also planning a network breakfast the day after before everyone heads off.” Adds Sarah: “We have secured rooms at the High Field Townhouse and Edgebaston House for those who want to stay.”
