Miffy Welcomes A Trio Of Licensees

Rocket Licensing has revealed several new Miffy product launches, planned or underway, to include children’s apparel from Blade & Rose a recently launched card range from Woodmansterne, and Dreamtex which is planning to start its association with Miffy with a range of cushions and duvet cover which will launch in spring 2025. 

The collaboration between Miffy and Blade & Rose kicks off in October with a collection called Miffy in the Veg Patch. It includes signature leggings, a long-sleeve top and matching socks. Further launches are planned, with February 2025 seeing the arrival of a summer collection, as well as an autumn/winter collection planned for July 2025.

“Our strong focus on designs that appeal to children means we know and love Miffy and greatly enjoyed bringing her to this new Blade & Rose collection,” comments Amanda Peffer, founder and director of Blade & Rose.

There will be a strong direct-to-consumer campaign including social media postson Instagram and Facebook, along with email marketing and influencer involvement.The collection will also enjoy a big trade push.

Last week (10 September), the Miffy x Cath Kidston range of bags, accessories and homeware for women and kids won the Best Licensed Giftware, Home Décor, Tableware or Housewares category at The Licensing Awards. Plans are in progress for a wider range which is set to hit stores in 2025.

Miffy orginated on 21 June, 1955, when Dutch artist Dick Bruna first drew the character to entertain his young son while on a rainy seaside holiday in Holland. Today, the brand is supported by over 9,000 products, 85 million books sold in more than 50 languages, a television series, a movie, YouTube channels, exhibitions around the world and a growing portfolio of licensing partners.
