Kelly Hoppen CBE To Speak At The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards

Interior designer, product designer, author, TV and film personality Kelly Hoppen CBE will be the pre-lunch speaker at this year’s Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards (B&LLAs).

Kelly will be sharing her licensing journey with the assembled audience of retailers, brand owners, licensees and industry executives at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Thursday 24 April, helping to kick off the B&LLAs in style.

The B&LLAs has become known for its high profile guest pre-lunch speakers who, in previous years, have included Jeff Banks, Wayne Hemingway, Richard E Grant, Sara Miller, the Style Sisters, Giles Andreae and LEON’s John Vincent.

With over 45 years’ experience at the forefront of the design industry, Kelly is one of the most celebrated and sought after interior designers in the world. It was her relentless passion for design, at 16 ½ years old, which kick started her career. Her first commission, to design a family friend’s kitchen, has led to multiple awards and numerous publishers and businesses seeking her expertise.

Kelly’s globally renowned and ever-evolving style is underpinned by a subtle coordinated fusion of East meets West – clean lines and neutral tones, blended with warmth and sumptuous opulence. She has put her stamp on the homes, yachts and jets of private clients as well as commercial projects including hotels, bars, restaurants, offices, super yachts and apartment block developments of magnitude with private function floors.

Her career has also expanded into TV and film, appearing in a cameo role in the Absolutely Fabulous movie alongside Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, while in 2013 she became an investor on Dragons’ Den. Kelly has since appeared in BBC Two’s The Great Interior Design Challenge as a judge and, most recently, has been a guest judge in Interior Design Masters on BBC Two and Netflix.

She launched her first podcast series in 2019 – The Kelly Hoppen Show – where she interviewed a range of successful women about their career and life journeys.

Kelly is passionate about making her design ethos accessible to everyone, authoring 10 books and creating a successful range of home products.

The Kelly Hoppen brand has since partnered with brands including Hakwood (wooden tiles), Richloom (commercial fabrics), Brintons (commercial carpets) and Restoration Hardware (cushions & bedding). In recent years, Kelly released collections with Focus SB (electrical fittings), Joseph Giles (electrical switches), Pavoni (leather), Loloey (rugs) and De Gournay (wallpaper). Recent collaborations include ranges with Markor in Asia and Caracole globally (furniture), Fired Earth (tiles), ILUM (candles and diffusers).

Last autumn, Kelly launched her debut 75-piece collection with Marks & Spencer and, in April 2025, she released her second collection with over 100 items.

She was awarded a CBE in October 2020 for her work in helping to promote British creativity, business and commerce globally.
