A Glass Act

In celebration of Earth Day last week (April 22), LSA International’s Canopy collection won a 2021 Green Good Design Award – a programme which identifies the world’s most important examples of sustainable, innovative and ecological design.

Centred around the concepts of hydration and propagation, Canopy was created in partnership with the Eden Project. Inspired by the Project’s iconic Biomes featuring contemporary domed and curved shapes, this season’s new designs include hanging planters, centrepieces, planters and vase shapes.

Each piece in the collection is mouthblown from 100% recycled glass, turning discarded material into something useful. Agglomerated cork, made from waste fragments of sustainably harvested cork bark, is also used as a component of selected designs.

The Canopy collection’s other accolades include an iF Design Award and the Host Milano Green Award.
