A ‘Great Yorkshire Christmas’ For Gift Shop Bijouled

Gift shop Bijouled, based in Parliament Street, Harrogate – winner of The Greats 2019 Best Gift Retailer of Jewellery and Fashion Accessories category – was the joint winner of the Best Small Shop Christmas Window category in the annual Harrogate Christmas shop window competition. It was televised by Channel 5, and recently shown on Harrogate: A Great Yorkshire Christmas.

The shop won the Best Window Display category in 2017 and was highly commended last year.

“We were delighted to receive another award for our very special Christmas window,” Bijouled’s owner Georgina Collins told GiftsandHome.net. “This year’s window is full of joy, sparkle and glamour and customers are really enjoying it. We hope that it is helping to give an experience that will inspire local people and visitors to shop on the high street rather than online.”

Influenced by the French style of a bygone era – dancing at Christmas and Bijouled’s 15 year love affair with Butler & Wilson Jewellery – the window includes graphics and glitter from Clare Jordan, a recycled chandelier from chandelier artist Madeleine Boulesteix, and a special crystal dancing couple from Butler & Wilson that was made to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary. A rotating dancing couple featured at the back of the window.

“The window has been a year long project here at Bijouled and we hope our Christmas window gave everyone lots of pleasure. Whatever life throws at you, keep dancing!” added Georgina.

Joint winner in the Small Shops category was Helen James Flowers in Station Parade.
