A New BBC Programme Is Looking For Passionate Entrepreneurs

Exciting news for new product designers is that Firecracker Films is looking for exciting products across a wide range of sectors – to include the home and children’s gadgets – for a brand new BBC TV series airing next Spring called The Customer Is Always Right.

“The series will be celebrating small businesses, entrepreneurs, and people who are proud and passionate about their products,” explains Firecracker Films’ researcher Sarah Brake. “From start-ups and prototypes to products that are already on the market, we’re looking for entrepreneurs and product designers from all over the UK to showcase their work to a larger market and crucial customer testing. The submitted product should be for the consumer market, for general public use in their homes, cars, commute etc., and will ideally be tangible and testable.”

Each episode of the programme will feature three entrepreneurs showing the blueprints and prototypes of their inventions. Audiences will hear about the inspiration behind their creation and the sacrifices they had to make in order to get their dream item funded and brought to market.

There will be a cast of returning customers, all with different points of view, who are ready to road test the entrepreneur’s products at home and review the design from its practical use to the selling price. They’ll unbox and deliver their honest assessments before scoring each product. Because the customer is always right, they will pick the winner.

“It’s a really exciting opportunity for new products to reach a wider audience, and we’re looking for all kinds of products to include,” confirms Sarah.
