Retailers who were unable to travel to Ambiente due to the coronavirus outbreak or Storm Ciara have been able to place orders with top brands thanks to the international roll out of the show’s B2B marketplace Nextrade.
During the show, which took place at Messe Frankfurt earlier this month, Philipp Ferger, Tendence and Nordstil group show director, and ceo of nmedia, confirmed that there was a great deal of interest from exhibitors, with over 800 leads, and the team now integrating new suppliers into the order and data platform.
Currently, top brands on the marketplace, across Ambiente’s Dining, Living and Giving sectors, include Asa, Berghoff, Blomus, Donkey, G. Wurm, Gefu, Gift Company, Gilde, Hoff, Kaheku, Kare Design, Koziol, Leonardo, Philippi, Sompex, Städter, Räder, Robbe & Berking, Troika, WMF, Zieher and Zwilling.
Nextrade has been fully operational since the end of October, with registrations open to both suppliers and retailers. Within a few weeks of the launch, the product range on the supply side doubled. At the end of 2019, the marketplace listed over 60 suppliers offering 120,000 products. Currently, there are 110 suppliers who are active on the platform.
Since it was rolled out internationally at Ambiente 2020, retailers have registered from 26 countries.
Next year’s Ambiente takes place from February 19-23, 2021.
