Aspin: Why We’re Backing The Gift Awards

Concluding our series on companies that are sponsoring a category at The Gift Awards 2023, taking place tomorrow night (11 May), Aspin’s managing director, Nathan Aspin, explains why, for the second consecutive year, the B2B software developer is sponsoring the Gift of the Year’s Tech, Gadgets and Novelty category.

Aspin-Logo_new-scaled-e1595844186208The company is well-known throughout the gift and homewares sector for their extensive knowledge of the industry, and a ‘can do’ attitude to customer service and the technical development of their products.

“Supporting The Gift Awards is a big event in our calendar,” states managing director Nathan Aspin. “The gifting sector has been at the core of what we do since my dad started Aspin in 1984. We have, and do, work with some of the biggest names in the industry, and also do a lot of collaborative work with The Giftware Association, where we are partner members.  For example, we hold two webinars with the GA each year, discussing various aspects of B2B sales strategies. Last year’s webinar covered ‘Top Ten Tips for Ecommerce Success’, with our most recent webinar Four Ways To Be A Retailer’s Supplier.  We’ll be holding another webinar with the GA in September, with email invites going to various giftware distributors and wholesalers over the summer.

Continues Nathan: “Recently we offered all our GA webinar attendees the opportunity to have a free 30 minute ‘sales team health-check’ video call with one of our in-house experts. These have been well received. Not only do these calls give the attendee some valuable food for thought, but also give us an opportunity to gain important giftware industry insights. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement.

“We will continue to strive to remain knowledgeable of, and relevant to, the gift and homewares industry. The more we know about the challenges and changing trends the industry faces, the better we can support our customers.”

For the second consecutive year, and uniting the gift industry, The Greats Awards have joined forces with The Giftware Association’s Gift of the Year (GOTY) awards, with all winners – both The Greats and the GOTY – being revealed at a fabulous black tie awards event, to be held at the glittering Royal Lancaster Hotel in London tomorrow, Thursday 11 May.
