At The Heart Of Arts

Nine selected students and alumni of the University of Arts London (UAL:) – Europe’s largest art and design university – will present their designs/work to retailers in PULSE at Top Drawer AW19. They will be featured in a show area that has been dedicated to new designers and emerging talent.

The collaboration puts the spotlight on innovation, emerging design and creativity, offering visitors to the show a diverse range of products from home accessories and skincare to fashion accessories and furniture.

The businesses/designers whose work will be showcased are: Camila Quintero, heimdesign, Joanna Vanderpuije, Kindred + Wild, Memories of Green, Njeri illustrated, Nottene, Porter + Trundle and Zoe Sherwood, who were sourced through an open-call based on the commercial viability and creativity of their products.

Each is part of UAL’s prestigious network of alumni, which includes Terence Conran, Stella McCartney, James Dyson, Margaret Calvert, Neville Brody, Susan Williams-Ellis, Tatty Devine’s Harriet Vine and Rosie Wolfenden.

“At Top Drawer we are as committed to nurturing emerging design and new names as we are to providing a platform for leading and establish brands,” states Top Drawer’s show director, Alejandra Campos. “We’re so thrilled for our visiting buyers to discover the incredible work from this inspiring, vivacious group of UAL: alumni and students. The quality and design of their products is astounding, and the UAL stand really does add something special to the show.”

Organised by UAL:’s Careers and Employability team, and supported by Top Drawer organisers Clarion Events, this is the 13th year of UAL’s partnership with Pulse – which will be co-located with Top Drawer for the first time this season – providing newcomers with a supportive step into trade show environments.

Top Drawer takes place at London’s Olympia from September 8-10. Visit www.topdrawer.co.uk
