Australian retailer House has revealed its plans to open 75 new stores in the UK over the next three years.
House, owned by Global Retail Brands, is Australia’s largest independent and dedicated retailer of quality homewares and kitchenware products, with over 100 retail stores in Australia.
The retail group opened its first shop in the UK last October, in Oxford, followed by stores in Bracknell and Sheffield’s Meadowhall. It is to open its fourth UK shop this summer, in Norwich’s Intu centre in Chaplefield. The retailer is planning more stores in Intu centres.
Commenting on its growth in the UK, House’s executive chairman and chief executive Steven Lew said: “Our expansion will be very much opportunity-led. Our strategy will be to create a sustainable operation that prioritises being best-in-class, over being the biggest. Being the biggest is a flow on from having the best all round offering.”
House stocks over 4,000 homeware products to include tableware, glassware and accessories, along with kitchen, cookware and bakeware.
