Award Winning KeelEco Plush Hits The Headlines

Hot on the heels of having been announced as one of the 25 winners of Toy Fair’s Hero Toys on Tuesday (January 21) – recgonised for the company’s KeelEco range of recyclable, sustainable toys – Keel Toys was back in the spotlight.

Following the show’s press launch on Tuesday, an article appeared in the Femail section of the MailOnline on the same day, with radio presenter Chris Moyles singing the range’s praises on his morning show on Radio X yesterday (January 22).

The KeelEco range, which was launched at Toy Fair on Tuesday (January 21), features a plush range of 100% recyclable and sustainable endangered animals.

“Since November 2019, all our items now carry a new Keel Toy icon, formed from FSC cardboard, saving plastic on the millions of toys we sell each year,” UK sales director Steve Cox told GiftsandHome.net. (Previously, there was an iconic red disc in the ear of each toy). “It’s attached to the toy with cotton, and even the sew in label is recycled, with everything manufactured in an ICTI ethically audited factory.”

Continues Steve: “The next step for us was to design a fully sustainable 100% recycled range, KeelEco. These eco-friendly toys are manufactured and stuffed with 100% recycled polyester from plastic waste. Weighted with recycled glass beads, the floppy toys have been designed for hugging, with traditional glass eyes replaced with cotton embroidered eyes.”

The collection features endangered animals from the four corners of the world including a turtle, sloth, tiger, snow leopard, panda, blue whale, great apes and a polar bear.

Adds Steve: “For eco awareness, the range is clearly labelled with the sustainable message and offered with a variety of retail solutions.”
