Award winning gift retailer Zoe Anderson, who launched gift outlet W.A. Green in London’s trendy Shoreditch in 2017, is currently celebrating the shop’s second birthday.
“The store is a maximalist lifestyle outlet that’s full of fun and character, putting independent designers alongside powerhouse brands,” Zoe told GiftsandHome.net. “The common thread is happiness, with a lot of our customers coming in and changing the way that they look at their home.”
She adds that retail has always been a big part of her life. “Although I previously worked in advertising, not being able to find a gift for a friend in West London, along with my travels in LA, made me think that I wanted to open my own shop,” she continued.
To date, W.A. Green has attracted lots of press coverage to include mentions in ELLE Decoration, the Daily Telegraph and the Financial Times, and has also made an appearance at the London Design Festival.
“I’ve never felt more myself,” added Zoe. “Previously, I’d always worked within the strict brand guidelines of other companies. However, it’s been amazing to shape a brand identity from scratch with my own DNA. Getting to know our customers, merchandising products and creating a strong team are at the heart of the store.”
Linking in with her family’s background, Zoe named the shop after her grandfather, a successful green grocer who owned a chain of shops.
