The Giftware Association highlighted that the themes of care, gifts that give back, sustainability, helping others and protecting the environment were the key trendsthroughout the last year and were evident in the types of gifts that were entered and performed well in the Awards. They included jigsaws that gave back to charity, vases that encouraged us to plant more trees as well as gifts and kits that can be posted to loved ones for birthdays, baking and crafting.
“The competition is a great way to spot key trends, and the move towards sustainability and ethical gifting has flowed through all the products,” commented The Giftware Association’s marketing and PR manager Chris Workman.
Continued Chris: “From what has been a very different competition this year, we have certainly seen a resilient industry, and an industry that has grown, adapted and thrived even in testing times. It was great to see so many fantastic products entered, and congratulations to all the winners, highly commended, and shortlisted companies, and all those who entered.”
This year’s competition attracted over 700 entries, with over 6,000 members of the publicvoting for the inaugural People’s Choice award.
