Blueprint Gets Ready To ‘Relax’ With Kawaii Bear Rilakkuma

Spring 2020 will see Blueprint Collections launch a range of gifts, stationery, accessories and bags inspired by cute Kawaii bear Rilakkuma, a hit Japaese character brand.

The range features bags, accessories and gifts –  to include water bottles, travel mugs, plush purses, bags and backpacks – as well as stationery items

All products will be illustrated with pictures of the bear, mostly shown in one of its reclining poses, with some featuring the zipper that appears on the bear’s back.

Rilakkuma’s name is a combination of the word ‘relax’ and the Japanese word for ‘bear’ and is one of the most popular characters in Japan. In Europe, there will be a wide target market, including 8-14-year-old girls, as well as fans of Japanese culture.

“The continuing growth of Rilakkuma in European markets comes as no surprise,” says Lisa Shand, managing director, Blueprint Collections. “This is a charming, funny, unique kawaii character with enormous market potential. We are thrilled to be working with Rilakkuma on this collection.”
