Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2020: The Winners

The winners of the 2020 Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards were crowned at a special virtual ceremony on Monday night (November 9) watched by the great and the good in the world of licensing.

In the Product sector, winner of the Best Brand Licensed Gifting Product or Range was Vintage Kellogg’s Socks from Roy Lowe & Sons. Quipped the awards compere Alan Dedicoat, the National Lottery’s ‘voice of the balls’ and the voice-over for Strictly Come Dancing: “Who says socks have to boring! These are worthy of being added to my Christmas wish list. As Tony the Tiger would say, they’re “Grrrrrreat!”

On hearing that the company had won the category, Ben Lowe from Roy Lowe & Sons, enthused: “What a great bit of good news for us all at the Sock Mine to keep spirits high during the tough year we have all had! We are proud and honoured to receive the award. We always strive to bring some fun and novelty to a sock drawer, and the Kellogg’s cereal box socks were a great example of making the most of the gift-able aspect of socks.”

Other winners in the Product sector included Morris & Co Mugs, Ceramics and Tableware from Spode (part of the Portmeirion Group) which won the Best Brand Licensed Homewares, Kitchen & Tabletop Product or Range category. “Designs that have stood the test of time, coupled with high end manufacture and the endorsement of respected homewares brand Spode, this collection was talk of the table with the judges,” highlighted Alan.
