Bring On The Brands

From Mary Poppins to David Walliams, from Barbie to Black Ops 4, a myriad of new licences will be hitting the shelves over the next few months.

Screen Shot 2018-09-21 at 01.12.41In the run-up to Brand Licensing Europe, (BLE), which celebrates its 20th anniversary next month, (October 9-11, Olympia), GiftsandHome.net takes a look at why Europe’s biggest licensing trade show is so essential to the gift sector.

“At BLE, we represent the entire licensing industry with brand owners showcasing character and entertainment, brands and lifestyle, and art, design and image licensing properties,” explains Anna Knight, BLE brand director. “Therefore it’s the perfect place for gift licensees and retailers to find the next big thing – the next product that will differentiate their offering to consumers.”

As the only pan-European event dedicated to the international business of licensing and brand extension, BLE is the definitive event for the licensing industry in Europe. The exhibition is a well-established date on the licensing industry calendar, with the three-day show attracting key industry players from all over Europe.

In 2017, over 7,500 retailers, licensees and marketeers attended the event, taking in the latest news from more than 280 different licensors and licensing agents. This year, exhibitors are expected to display over 2,500 new and evergreen properties available for licensing opportunities, including characters, brands, images, artwork and designs.
