Cardgains Celebrates 30 Years at Spring Fair

It was champagne and anniversary cake all round yesterday as Cardgains celebrated its 30th anniversary on the first day of Spring Fair (Sunday February 3).

“Thirty years is a long time, and obviously the company has been through some interesting retail times, so it feels good to be here in a strong position and moving forward from our initial beginnings,” managing director Chris Dyson told GiftsandHome.net at the anniversary party.

Explained Chris: “Cardgains started out being all about greeting cards, but now we cover everything the can be sold in a card and gift shop. We’re there for independent retailers, and now more than ever – there has never been a stronger time to be part of the buying group. In fact, the joining fee and management charges haven’t changed for 30 years!”

New gift companies that have joined the organisation in the past year include Portmeirion Group, Sass & Belle, Heart of the Country, Pubstops and the Brandwell Group.

Moving forward in 2019, Chris confirmed that a new sales structure is being put in place, with four new sales people joining the company.
