Celebrating The Snowman’s 40th Anniversary

To mark the 40thanniversary of Raymond Briggs bestselling book The Snowman, Rainbow Designs is launching a plush nursery toy and gift range: The Snowman and The Snowdog.  Gifts include bean toys and booties to comfort blankets and ring rattles. In addition, there will also be The Snowman Collector Edition, presented in an illustrated keepsake gift box, which features some of the illustrations from The Snowman picture book.

“The Snowman has always been a traditional part of Christmas but this year, its 40thanniversary, it will play an even bigger role,” says Rainbow Designs’ managing director Anthony Temple.

“As we head towards the festive season we’d encourage retailers, particularly independents, to embrace the hype, excitement and the huge anniversary campaign. There is a short seasonal window for this classic festive brand, so we want to make sure retailers don’t miss the boat, and with our new Collector’s Edition and our plush nursery gift range, we have The Snowman gifts covered for fans of all ages,” adds Anthony.

As part of the extensive anniversary celebrations, acclaimed children’s author Michael Morpurgo will be writing a new novel, a reimagining of The Snowman, which is due to be published in October.
