Enesco Adds A New License To Its Portfolio

Art Ask Agency has announced a new licensed merchandise collaboration between Enesco and Rafael Mantesso’s Jimmy the Bull. Products in development include giftware, resin figurines and wall art, with the range scheduled to launch at Spring Fair 2019 next February.

“We are very much looking forward to seeing the products come to life,” states Maria Strid at Art Ask Agency. “The concepts are amazing. Enesco is a reference within the licensing industry, as well as in the gift industry, and we look forward to a successful collection with the company.”

The new license will strengthen Enesco’s portfolio which already boasts favourites such as Beatrix Potter, Disney and Pusheen.

The partnership will combine Enesco’s humorous gifts and home décor items with Jimmy the Bull’s photography, which features whimsical, hand drawn elements.

The first gift company to partner with Jimmy the Bull was Groovy UK, who will also be launching a collection at Spring Fair.

Jimmy the Bull’s assets include hundreds of cheeky images chronicling the owner and dog’s relationship, which began when Rafael’s wife left him taking everything except their beloved bull terrier, who she’d named after her favourite shoe designer Jimmy Choo. Rafael subsequently took his inspiration from Jimmy, blank walls and his magic marker.

The Jimmy the Bull Instagram feed has become a worldwide sensation with over 600,000 followers. There is also a book, A Dog Named Jimmy, featuring a collection of tongue-in-cheek imagery.
