Export Opportunities Led By Spring Fair Initiative

Following on from February’s Spring Fair, a collaboration with the Department for International Trade’s (DIT) retail export team has successfully helped to connect UK gift and home exhibitors with international export opportunities.

Figures suggest that Spring Fair’s partnership with the DIT, which connects global buyers to UK brands, helped boost spending by international visitors at the show, with over 500 networking meetings organised through the partnership over the five day event.

“What our exhibitors have demonstrated to us is that recent and ongoing sector-wide challenges, such as dips in consumer confidence and the looming spectre of Brexit, have not and will not shake the confidence and resilience of this £358billon giant of an industry,” comments Louise Young, managing director of Spring and Autumn Fairs.

“Trade is an important consideration for everything we do, and is an essential part of our mission to fuel retail growth. We’re immensely proud of what our exhibitors have achieved this year and hope to build on the success of Spring Fair with Autumn Fair 2018.”

Autumn Fair takes place from September 2-5 at the NEC, Birmingham.
