Fashion Forward At Autumn Fair

One size clothing is the new big thing for independent gift and lifestyle retailers of all shapes and sizes, who are viewing the category as an essential, either as a reason for customers to visit or as an impulse purchase.

With fashion show Moda co-locating with Autumn Fair next month (Sept 5-8, NEC), over 160 fashion, footwear, accessories and jewellery brands will be showcasing their newest ranges, with  sustainable brands including Turtle Doves, Conscious Lemons and NOMADS, reflecting a wider appetite in the fashion retail market for ethical and sustainable brands.

There will also be digital clinics by partner and Café sponsor Modular Commerce – which will be hosting a free champagne reception every day at the Modular Commerce Café at 4pm – along with buyer benefits for members of headline sponsor the British Footwear Association. Moda is also offering an exclusive Hosted Buyer Programme which will provide support and onsite benefits for leading retailers.

Bringing colour and design to the Lunar stand will be a new ‘Llewellington’ collection by flamboyant designer and Changing Room presenter Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen – a new series is currently airing on Channel 4  featuring socks, slippers, boots and umbrellas.

“There isn’t a single corner of your world that shouldn’t be drop-dead lovely,” comments Laurence. “There are no excuses. Just because something is useful, it doesn’t mean it can’t be totally Schwitt-Schwoo. I want the world to keep its feet dry with super style. I want our boot rooms to be every bit as soigné as our drawing rooms. Whether it’s wellingtons, socks, slippers, slip-on galoshes, or umbrellas my Llewellington collections bring a gorgeously patterned brightness to the rainiest of rainy days.”
