Festive Cheer On BBC Two’s Tonight

Although the General Election will be dominating the viewing schedules tonight (December 12), some light relief can be found on BBC’s Behind The Factor programme at 9pm, especially as – in a boost for the calendar and gifts industry – there will footage of Woodmansterne’s Advent colour production.

“The show focuses on party food with Advent calendars as the show’s historical angle,” explains Woodmansterne’s head of marketing Kate Leach.

“The production company were keen to delve into our archive as well as seeing modern day production methods and designs,” continued Kate. “They loved the fact we were a UK manufacturer, designing, printing and die cutting in house at our Croxley site,” she added.

The presenters will be discussing the continuing popularity of traditional paper Advent calendars to retain and rekindle the magic of Christmas, “especially as they are healthier alternative to chocolate ones!” adds Kate.
