Freckleface Partners With Laura Ashley

At this week’s Autumn Fair, Freckleface Home Fragrance unveiled a collaboration with the iconic British brand Laura Ashley, renowned for its timeless designs and heritage in fashion and home furnishings.

The partnership features a botanical collection of ethical home fragrance products, inspired by wildflowers and English gardens, all of which are vegan, cruelty-free, plastic-free, and locally sourced where possible.

There are three fragrances:

Vintage 17: A scent to celebrate the launch of Freckleface from the kitchen table at the home of Tara Carlile-Swift and her son Noah in Meadowgate in 2017. All Freckleface fragrances are based on the nature around them or are deeply rooted in family memories.

Vintage 53: A scent that celebrates the launch of Laura Ashley in 1953. This fragrance is inspired by Laura’s love for wildflowers from her Welsh cottage garden.

Vintage 68: This scent celebrates the launch of the first Laura Ashley store in 1968, recreating the scent of freshly washed linens drying outdoors.

The new collection features a curated range of candles, reed diffusers, wax melts, scented sachets and a gift set, each capturing the essence of nature. From the delicate aroma of daffodils and wildflowers, inspired by Laura’s love for her Welsh cottage garden, to the fresh scent of rosemary and bay, products have been designed to evoke the tranquillity and beauty of a country garden.

“We are so excited to partner with Laura Ashley, a brand that has inspired so many with its beautiful designs and heritage,” commented Tara and Noah Carlile-Swift, co-founders of Freckleface. “Our shared values of quality, British made products, authenticity, and a love for the natural world, make this collaboration a perfect fit. The new collection combines Laura Ashley’s timeless elegance with our passion for creating home fragrances inspired by nature, offering customers a sensory experience that truly celebrates the essence of wildflowers and garden scents.”

Adds Poppy Marshall-Lawton, vice president of Laura Ashley: “We are thrilled to partner with Freckleface to create a truly special collection that embodies the essence of both brands. Taking inspiration from our archive of prints, and blending this with the expertise of the Freckleface team, we have crafted a unique collaboration that reflect our shared values of tradition and innovation. Working with the Freckleface team has been incredibly inspiring and we are excited to bring the Laura Ashley brand to Freckleface’s loyal customer base.”

Both Laura Ashley and Freckleface share a unique origin story, with both brands being founded by visionary women at their kitchen tables. Laura Ashley began in 1953 when Laura and Bernard Ashley started printing fabric at their home in London. Similarly, Freckleface was founded by Tara Carlile-Swift and her son Noah – a budding entrepreneur, aged 14 -who began making natural soya wax candles and melts in their kitchen, driven by a passion for quality home fragrances.

Freckleface started in 2017 on the Carlile-Swift family kitchen table as a hobby and a way of showing Noah how to channel his ideas. They began by making wax melts and candles for family and friends and from there the business was born.

“We are proud to have grown organically and built a brand that has five high street stores and is stocked in over 850 garden centres and gift shops,” says Tara. “We decided from day one we wanted to be a business we are proud of, so all our products are vegan, cruelty free, plastic free and our raw materials are locally sourced where possible.”

The Laura Ashley x Freckleface collection will be available in Freckleface stores from tomorrow, 7th September.
