Gift Indie’s Giftwrapping Initiative Raises £1,000 For Cancer Charity

Indie gift retailer Andrea Pinder, owner of Presentation Cards & Gifts in Barrowford, recently presented the Rosemere Cancer Foundation with a £1,000 donation thanks to her giftwrapping initiative.

Andrea, winner of The Greats Best Gift Retailer of The Year North, Scotland and Northern Ireland category in 2022, raised the majority of the donation by offering customers a giftwrapping service in store, with the option of making a donation to Rosemere Cancer Foundation. She then rounded it up with a £70 personal donation to reach the grand total.

“No gift leaves here unwrapped unless the customer wishes to wrap it themselves,” explained Andrea. “I buy the paper and ribbons and do the wrapping. Customers have the option of making a donation for the service and I’m very grateful to all those who did. We love making our customers’ gifts look special when they leave our store.”

Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring world-class treatments and services to patients at the specialist cancer treatment and radiotherapy centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, and eight local hospital cancer units across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
