Gift Of The Year Finalists Revealed

Following two rounds of online judging, the finalists have been announced in the 23 categories of the 2021 Gift of the Year competition, organised by The Giftware Association, which saw a record breaking entry that was 20% up on last year. “As always, it was a close fought battle with some results very close within the categories,” said the Giftware Association’s PR & marketing manager Chris Workman.

Continued Chris: “We are now very excited for our next ambitious stage of the competition – involving individual ceremonies for each of the categories – where the winners will be announced.”

A ‘super-secret’ recorded event will subsequently be shown at Spring Fair @ Home which can be viewed from February 8 onwards on the Spring Fair platform as well as through the GA’s own channels.

Additionally, the GA has announced a brand new People’s Choice Award, which affords the public the opportunity to vote on the finalists products and companies in order to produce one overall winner.

“This is a great way to support the home and gift industry as well as industry peers,” says Chris. “Votes can be placed on the individual category finalists page.”

This year’s panel of judges ranged from large retailers such as John Lewis, to independent retailers which included Mooch and Raven Lifestyle, with other judges represented across the spectrum of giftware buying. Once again, Sue Marks, editor of Progressive Gifts & Home/GiftsandHome.net was on the judging panel, with Max Publishing sponsoring two of the categories: Branded Gift and Under £15.
