Giftware Designer Meg Hawkins Shortlisted For Two Major Awards

Giftware designer and watercolour artist Meg Hawkins is going to have a nail-biting November! Founder or her eponymous company Meg Hawkins, she has been shortlisted as a finalist in two prestigious awards – in the Creator And Maker category at The Great British Businesswoman Awards, and in the Creative Businesswoman at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards – with the winners announced in November.

Both awards are in recognition of Meg’s business growth, outstanding creativity, and inspiring role as a leading female in business. “The giftware industry was hit hard over the past few years with covid, with so many small independents closing, so to have recognition for all we do as a small family business is truly amazing,” enthuses Meg. “The Creator and Maker category recognises its significance and its impact on the giftware industry.”

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards have become one of the most coveted accolades for entrepreneurs across the UK, celebrating the diverse entrepreneurial landscape. The awards ceremony takes place on 20 November at London’s Grosvenor House, where industry leaders, innovators, and influencers will gather to celebrate the achievements of the finalists.

In addition, Meg is also a finalist in the Creative Businesswoman category at the Great British Businesswoman Awards, with the winner recognised for being a female leading a profit-making business, in which the creative process has an economic, social and cultural impact, focusing in the areas of fashion, design, music, performing arts, arts and crafts, film and video. The awards ceremony takes place on 22 November at Leonardo Royal Hotel in St Paul’s London.

Established in 2015, Meg Hawkins Art started life as Meg Hawkins Illustrations from Meg’s kitchen table. Since then, Meg has gone on to sign licencing agreements, produce her own homeware, giftware and greeting card ranges that are sold all over the world. She is inspired by her surroundings, with her bright, colourful, joyful artwork featuring animals from all over the world.
