GOTY Shortlist Revealed

After weeks of waiting, The Giftware Association has revealed the shortlisted companies in the Gift of the Year 2019 competition. Visit www.ga-uk.org to see the full listing.

A 25-strong judging panel – which included Progressive Gifts & Home – reflected the home and gift sector. According to competition organisers The Giftware Association, the judges had some difficult choices to make in the first round of the online judging with over 1100 entries to consider across 20 categories.

The next stage of the competition will be a live judging day in January where the judges will have the opportunity to see the products and make their final selections.

“Congratulations to all the companies who were lucky enough to make the shortlist, and a huge thank you to everyone for entering some amazing products,” stated Luke Palmer, the competition’s project manager. “As ever, we are delighted by the quality and diversity of products, and have been blown away by some of our categories, particularly Ethical Gift and Design & Craft, which have each more than doubled our expectations.”

The winners from the live judging day will be kept under wraps and announced on the first evening of Spring Fair, Sunday February 3, at an all-inclusive ceremony on the main stage in Hall 20.

Everyone is invited to the awards presentation giving buyers and retailers an opportunity to meet the people behind the products. Entry to the event is free.
