Home & Gift Buyers’ Festival: Mixing Business With Pleasure

Four busy, buzzy days of buying, networking and after-show socialising await as gift buyers head to the spa town of Harrogate this weekend, with the Home & Gift Buyers’ Festival team pulling out all the stops to make this July’s show – taking place from Sunday 16 July – Wednesday 19 July – another ‘must attend’ occasion.

With over 500 brands, five marquees and five halls, all teaming with the latest trend-led products, Home & Gift is a great way to kick off the Autumn/Winter and Christmas buying season, say show organisers Clarion.

“As Home & Gift 2023 approaches, I’m eagerly anticipating an event that celebrates creativity, fosters connections, and showcases the very best products and brands on offer,” show manager David Westbrook told GiftsandHome.net.

“From my first time there in 2006, I’ve seen the show shift and evolve with the market, bringing it into the modern age and allowing our visitors to experience the sheer creativity and innovation of the brands on show. Buyers can explore a wide array of unique products and designs – from heartwarming greeting cards to beautiful jewellery, cosy homewares and more – with Home & Gift’s extensive product range guaranteeing that there’s something for everyone. And with over 30% of the exhibitors making their show debut this year, there will be endless inspiration for visitors to immerse themselves in across the multiple halls and marquees.”

Brand new for 2023 is Craft – showcasing one-off designs handmade by skilled designer-makers – which will be sitting alongside the show’s flagship sectors: Design-led Gift, General Gift, Home Accessories, Jewellery and the Fashion and Food Emporium.

Another show highlight is the Trends area created by Clarion’s show partner, The Better Trends Company, with visitors able to immerse themselves in the leading trends for 2023: Modern Psychedelic (which inspired the ‘60s-esque creative for the show), Rhythmic Form, and Dreamwave, an emerging trend for 2024.

Returning exhibitors include Joe Davies, Enesco, Wild Things, Hot Tomato, My Doris, Best Kept Secrets, Roka Bags, Talking Tables, Marmalade of London, Carrie Elspeth, Cotton & Grey and Sea Gems, with new exhibitors including Labre’s Hope, Trixie Baby, Every Nook, We Love Eco, Earthsong Seeds, Perfect Planner, Gardening For Kids, Warmies, Moda Express, New Duralex International, Bronte By Moon, Remony, Dreya Glass, Nordic Flowers, Zoe Scott Designs, Kocktail, Craft & Crumb and New English Teas.

In addition, after-show get togethers at Home & Gift include the much-loved Sunday Sundowners drinks on 16 July, (starting at 5.30pm outside marquee DP1), which this year includes celebrating Progressive Gifts & Home’s 30th anniversary! Additionally, Sarah Ward, ceo of The Giftware Association, will announce the winner of the Gift Of The Year’s highly anticipated People’s Choice Award, voted for by the general public.

There will also be Gin on The Lawn from 5.30pm at the Alfresco Bar, plus a VIP Happy Hour in the Indigo Lounge every day between 3-4pm.
