Honour For ‘Inspirational’ Nuneaton Gift Shop Owner

Following a record number of entries, Jo Williams, founder and owner of Joco in Nuneaton, has been selected as a 2023 top 100 Female Entrepreneur. “I’m so overwhelmed I’m lost for words,” Jo told GiftsandHome.net.

The f:Entrepreneur #ialso100 campaign highlights, champions and celebrates 100 inspirational female entrepreneurs across the UK who are wearing many hats and doing many inter-connecting roles, with a specific focus on community and sustainability. The prestigious list features women with impactful stories and inspiring businesses.

This year’s entrepreneurs have been invited to celebrate together at the House of Lords, International Women’s Day, on 8 March.

“2022 was an incredibly challenging year for me,” explains Jo. “As well as moving both my businesses, I have been part of the BID steering group for the town. I’ve also helped other businesses, and raised money for charity too,” she adds.

The recognition follows a successful 2022 for Joco, which scooped the prestigious Retailer of the Year trophy at the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Awards last October, and also saw the gift and lifestyle store re-locate to larger premises.

Launching in 2018, the #ialso100 campaign is now in its fourth year, celebrating a plethora of UK female entrepreneurial talent. Year on year it has seen a significant growth in entries, reach, press coverage and awareness.
