IHGF Delhi Fair Moves To A Virtual Platform

As a result of India’s current Covid crisis, the IHGF Delhi Fair, due to be held at the India Expo Centre and Mart at Greater Noida from 19-23 May, has been cancelled. Organisers EPCH say that, by holding the show virtually, this will continue an uninterrupted sourcing cycle for buyers, with products reflecting the lifestyle changes brought about by the pandemic.

Some 750 leading Indian manufacturers will be showcasing over 2000 products in 14 categories, spanning home, lifestyle, fashion, textiles and furniture.

Major product groups at the show feature Gifts & Decoratives Houseware & Home; Fashion Jewellery & Accessories; Spa & Wellness; Handmade Paper, Gift Wraps; Christmas & Festive Décor; Home Textiles & Furnishing; Furniture & Accessories; Lamps & Lighting; Carpets, Rugs & Floor Coverings, and Lawn & Garden Ornaments.

In addition, eco-friendly and sustainable lines will feature tradition-inspired urbane lifestyle collections in natural materials and seasonal derivatives to include hemp, wool, silk, jute, bamboo, kora grass, river reed and burlap.

Virtual show highlights include trend areas, craft demonstrations, ramp presentations and information webinars.

The IHGF Delhi Fair, held twice a year in Spring and Autumn, is organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) representing handicraft manufacturers and exporters in India.
