In The Money At PG Live

Echoing the film Willy Wonka, 2017 and 2018 Greats Awards winners and finalists will each have a prestigious £50 Greats Voucher to spend at dedicated greeting card show PG Live, which celebrates its 10thyear at London’s Business Design Centre on June 5 and 6.

“The coveted tickets, which can only be spent against any order placed at the show, will be a fantastic way to kick-start buying for both current and past winners and finalists, from the smallest to the largest gift shops,” enthused the show’s marketing manager, Jacqui Parr.

First timers to the show last year were Greats winners Evelyn O’Flaherty and Sandra Connell, owners of Mooch in Ealing, West London. “We were specifically looking for quirky, individual companies and started on the ground floor and worked our way up. What I loved most about PG Live was that it was compact. We had plenty of time to spend with exhibitors as there was no need to rush,” they commented.

Another 2017 Greats winner, at the show – attending for the third year running – was Julianne Moore, owner of MiMi (hw) in Hartley Wintney. “PG Live is one of the nicest shows we go to as it’s so friendly. We were looking for new publishers especially in men’s cards. Springboard was our first port of call and we placed three orders in the first hour with Toasted Crumpet, Sarah Boddy and Proud. Overall, we placed eight orders and acquired five new suppliers into our fold!”

Greats winners and finalists have also been invited to clink glasses at the annual Wall of Fame champagne reception on both days, where they will see their shop names ‘up in lights’.

This year’s special 10th anniversary PG Live features over 270 publishers, designers and suppliers of all shapes and sizes, from major household names to fresh, new and emerging talent in the Springboard section.

On both days, a complimentary two course lunch will be served to exhibitors and buyers from 1-3pm in the Gallery Hall on the Gallery level, along with complimentary tea and coffee.

In addition, a PG Live 10th Anniversary drinks party will open its doors just before the show closes on the first day (at 5.45), and will run until 7.45pm. All visitors and exhibitors are welcome and the drinks are free!

PG Live is owned by Max Exhibitions.
