Indies Invited To The Housewares Show

This March, The Housewares Show  – run by Associated Independent Stores (AIS) – will again be welcoming independent retailers.  The unique independent buyer-focused show plays host to market leading suppliers, including Portmeirion, Dartington Crystal, Dunoon, My Gifts Trade and Joseph Joseph, with several exhibitors unveiling their Spring launches for the first time.

With some 70 exhibitors and over 1000 brands, the show covers home fragrance, tabletop, cookshop and SDA. As well as a considered mix of brands, the show boasts an intimate, relaxed atmosphere, creating a friendly buying environment.

Insightful trend areas will be pocketed around the showrooms, curated by AIS’ buying experts. Using products from exhibitors, the trend areas will also provide ideas on how to create impactful in-store displays and generate add-on sales.

Three themes – appealing across a wide demographic – include Luxe (with marble and metallic highlights) and Tropical Summer, as well as eco ranges, to include products made from recycled materials and reusable bottles.

“We all know the best retailers create inspirational and aspirational in-store displays,” comments event organiser Rachel Breen. “Those important finishing touches can result in increasing footfall, prompting customers to buy into a look, as well as raising average transaction values and driving sales.”

The first day of the show on March 5 (at Cranmore Park, Solihull) will be exclusive to AIS members, with the doors open to the independent trade on March 6.

Online registration and parking are free and open to all independent buyers.

A complimentary lunch and refreshments will be available throughout the day.Visit www.housewaresshow.co.uk.
