Jellycat’s Co-Founder And MD Honoured At The Greats Awards

One of the most hotly anticipated categories at the virtual Greats Awards, which took place on Wednesday evening (September 30), was the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award, with Will Gatacre, co-founder and managing director of quirky plush brand Jellycat announced as this year’s winner.

In her citation, Jakki Brownjoint managing director of Max Publishing (which owns Progressive Gifts & Home/GiftsandHome.net), highlighted how the last year, more than any other in recent history, had brought immense challenges to everyone, both personally and in business.

She paid tribute to “the constant stream of innovation, continuous investment in their product range and wholehearted support for their retail stockists and talented team mates,” as just a few of the worthy reasons for presenting Will with the award, who sent out a message of thanks to his team and Jellycat’s retail customers.

Responding, Will praised Jellycat’s staff and customers. “Thomas and I are absolutely delighted to accept this award, but in reality, it goes to everybody at Jellycat . . . It is also you, our customers, who make us what we are. We are very appreciative of your trust and friendship on this journey.”
