Little Boat Gifts In The Running As A ‘High Street Hero’

Hot on the heels of being announced as a finalist in The Greats Independent Gift Retailer Of The Year – London, South, South East and East Anglia category in March, gift shop Little Boat Gifts, based in Brightlingsea, has also made it into the finals of the High Street Hero category at this year’s Small Awards. Winners for both awards will be announced on 16 May in London.

The High Street Hero category celebrates the best high street businesses – the nation’s standout independents that play a key role on their local high streets and within their communities.

Little Boat Gifts was founded by Olivia Reilly in 2015 who now runs the business with her husband Peter. She comments: “We were thrilled to hear that we had made into the finals of the Small Awards. It has been a real mood booster after a challenging time, and an uncertain start to 2024, to have some good news. The team at Little Boat Gifts have worked so hard and we are incredibly proud to be shortlisted in both Awards. It means a lot.”

Now in its eighth year, The Small Awards is a nationwide search for the smallest, greatest firms in the UK, across all sectors. It is organised annually by Small Business Britain, which champions, inspires and accelerates the nation’s 5.5 million small firms.
